Hi Jan, Just wanted to send a couple of pics of Moses. He is doing great and learning at warp speed. After just over a month he is house trained, sits, gives his paw, lays down and comes on command. All this and we have not even gotten to the professional obedience training yet. My sister was a little hesitant about him being around the babies but he was so good with them everyone was amazed. He has been to several picnics there and has a standing invitation to return. I was running with the little ones and he was chasing us and only nipped once at my little Eddie and that was only at the strings hanging from his shorts. Thank you so much for all you have done in helping us to get the perfect puppy. We could not be more pleased. Jeannette ![]() |

Thought you'd get a kick out of seeing little "Blue Boy" taking a nap with my son. Hope all is well. Deborah ![]() |

Hi Jan, Some more pics to share of your boy Judah. He sure has great prey drive! He just loves to bound out at full speed after his bite toys and corral them all together, then watch over them contentedly. Potty training is just about complete, what a good boy and fast learner. Our bonding and trust is really getting established, and he's not searching for his littermates anymore. He seems to have settled in now. A real treasure! Carolyn ![]() Hi Jan, Saw the pictures of your new litters and they are amazing. You must feel so blessed but also so busy! Pray for your peace in the midst of so many little ones. Judah has started his private lessons with Peg Robinson, the President of the Memphis Schutzhund Club. He has a spot in my Dodge Caravan where I took out the rear seat and put in a Great Crate 48" x 30" x 33" that he can grow into. He seems to love it and does a down so I can pick him up to put him in and then slowly creeps to the edge of the tailgate so I can lift him down. Will be getting a ramp for him and train him to walk up and down that soon (before he gets way to heavy for me!). Peg invited him to come out to some Schutzhund lessons with the club and a visiting instructor from Texas, just to meet the people and the other dogs, and get used to seeing what they do. He loved it and was a hit, endearing himself to the other members. I noticed one of the members had a Search and Rescue decal banner on the back window of her SUV. They are really dog savvy people who said that Judah would have no problem learning any of this. One of them said "you don't have a shy bone in your body!" And he really doesn't. He loves his walks in the neighborhood and has met a lot of the neighborhood kids, watching them wait for the schoolbus and play, then board the bus and leave. One young boy is about as tall as Judah is standing up and has learned not to be fearful around him since Judah just licks him and doesn't nip. For a prey-drive dog like him, that is wonderful. A lot of other neighbors who haven't said boo to me in 5 years of living there open right up and give him a big smile and come over to pet him and introduce themselves. Some come out of their houses as I walk by to meet this dog they have heard about walking through the neighborhood. Am getting him trained early on in loose leash walking, since he is very very strong, and I bet he could pull a dog sled! He just loves to work like that. But I want to get him into tracking soon where he can lead as he naturally wants to with his nose to ground with a goal in mind. Then he can understand the difference between the short loose leash where he heels and the long tracking leash where he can lead. Bought a book on puppy tracking, and Peg also teaches this. She has two big dogs, one a GSD and the other a Belgian Tervuren import from France. Judah and the Tervuren took to each other immediately, even though the other dog towers over him at this stage. The Belgian is well into his Schutzhund training and was at trials in Little Rock, AR this past weekend. Peg gave me a 'puppy scavenger hunt' list of things he should do or be exposed to for socialization before he is 16 weeks old. Moving toward 15 weeks, he has done all but a few minor points which we should be able to get done by his 16 week birthday celebration. He still tears around the fenced yard off leash. He loves both his tug toys, balls and playing in mud puddles that he discovers out there and makes deeper and wider :) He is all boy. Anyway, thought I would give you and update and thank you again for your tender loving care in breeding selection, whelping and loving them. Will send more pictures soon. In Christ, Carolyn |

Hello! Jan,
Merry Christmas and a very happy New Year. I hope all of your great dogs are doing fine?
Here are some new pix of Byron. I thought you might like to have them for your collection. He now resides with me in Sri Lanka, in the more mountainous regions of the country. The weather is always cool. Byron hardly sheds his fur, and of course I have to keep trimming him all the time.
He is so very gentle, and loving and I don't know what I would do without him. He is such a part of the scene over here. Of course loved by all. I know his dad Bronson is quite long haired, and handsome. Byron has got his body shape but his mothers face. Don't you think so?
I love him so much. I do now regret, that I didn't think of breeding him. He would have sired some handsome pups. Enjoy the pix!!! Avril ![]() |

Hi Jan,
I just wanted to let you know that Wolfie (Wolfgang Schloss Felsen) is
settling in very very well. I have to say kudos to you for having some
very well socialized puppies. Wolfie's attitude is fantastic. We have been
so impressed with his reactions to everything from the cat to the vacuum
cleaner. He is house training beautifully and already knows the words
"outside" and "no." Our vets and vet techs were amazed at how he acted in
the office and how easy he was to handle. They already want to show him off
to some of their other clients that own shepherds.
Thank you,
Laura Hi Jan, I just thought I'd send a quick email to let you know how Purple Boy (Wolfie, short for Wolfgang) is doing. He is an amazing little man. Our Bouvier accepted him as "hers" and he makes friends wherever he goes. He has learned the basics of Sit, Stay, Here, Off, Back, Leave Off , complete with handsignals. He is also tracking like a small champ. He rides in the car like it was a second home. I've never known a puppy that could leave groceries alone when left in the car with them until Wolfie. Our vet is very impressed with Wolfie and has recommended you to several clients. They have seen the German Shepherds will all the health and behavior problems and continue to be impressed with your program. Our next dog will definitely be one of yours. Sometime around next Thanksgiving. Best wishes, Laura ![]() |

Jan:
Here are some recent pictures of Storm.Puppy from Logan and Sonja. 8 months old - 85 lbs. Bob Hi Jan: Thought I would drop you a line and let you know how Storm is doing. (Pup out of Logan and Sonja, born February 1st). I took him to the Vet last week for his grooming. He is 9 months old and up to 100 pounds. The Vet said he is the "most beautiful" German Shepherd she has ever had at her clinic. His coloring is so unique (Red and Black sable). A very handsome boy. My new puppy, Gypsy, (Logan and Dalia - female born Aug 28th), stole my heart immediately. What a "doll". She made it here safe and sound. Was pretty tired the first day home but now is full of spunk and vinegar. She is absolutely beautiful. Will keep you posted on their progress. Bob ![]() |

7 1/2 months! Isn't she a beauty? Tessa is strong and energetic and loves the water. She spent many late afternoons this summer cooling off with Kim in a nearby lake. Can't wait to run her in the snow. Rose and Kim ![]() |

Hi Jan, just wanted to send another photo of Micah and also ask you personal opinion. If we were going to get another puppy would you suggest we get another male or should we get a female. We really want one that has the same temperament as Micah. He is so calm and loving. He not aggressive at all and he's brilliant. He will be graduating from the AKC's STAR program this weekend and is already green lighted to skip the next two obedience courses and is able to go straight into the therapy dog training course. So I guess I'm asking if you think this Logans and Dalias puppies will have the same temperament (can you remember what Micah was like as a puppy) and secondly should we get a boy or a girl? ![]() Thanks, Peter |

Hi Jan, Layla is now almost five months old (Logan/Heidi) and she is the love of our lives. She's not only gorgeous, but smart, loyal, friendly, loving; everything you want in a friend. She weighs about 45 pounds already. Her hair is getting long and curly! Never saw a curly-haired GSD before, but she gets lots and lots of compliments on her red sable coloring and that long, wavy hair. Everybody asks us where we got her. I gave your email address to a couple at the dog park last night who have a five month old Rottweiler girl for whom they want a companion. They saw Layla and went crazy over her and may be contacting you. Layla spends her days taking walks, playing in the back yard, and going to the dog park (her favorite thing). She has tons of friends there. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Thank you for our girl. Dave and Susie |

Dear Jan, I have had the purple boy from Logan and Dalia for three months now and I couldn't be happier. I named him Tegan (I know- an Irish name) and he has exceeded my already high expectations. He has impressed everyone who have seen him especially one of our local top trainers who evaluated him and saw his unlimited potential. She was genuine in her comment when she said after 15 years she hasn't seen a puppy with his abilities in a long time. Bright ,focused, eager to learn, confident, well balanced, etc. What I appreciate the most is his temperament - loves everybody and gets along with all the dogs he has come in contact with . He is handling basic obedience with ease and loves Day care once a week .Lots of exposure to socialize him. I am working with a trainer separately to find ways to keep him challenged and working (play) tracking seems to be a direction we are taking. Most of his day is filled with play and he loves problem solving during play. So it is safe to say I am very satisfied even after a little delay getting him in the beginning . Thank you. I know pictures will need to follow a very handsome boy. I will keep in touch. Sincerely, Joe |

| Hi Jan, just wanted to touch base with you and send a recent picture of Bear (Varrick – Bronson/Arina) and Brieana (Bronson/Brassy). They are both about to graduate from personal protection training. Bear has such great nerves and has a great bite, but they both turn into big lovable babies when they are turned off. Our trainer and all the staff are so impressed with their temperaments, and Bear is such a ham they’ve fallen in love with him. His hips and elbows are OFA certified and we plan on breeding him when we find a suitable lady with good hips to carry on the Romeo tradition. Just wanted to drop you a line and say thanks for such wonderful dogs. |

| Hi Jan, Thought I would send you a recent picture of Meadow at 4 1/2 months from Logan and Dahlia's January litter. She is quite the character and quickly becoming the Queen of the household. She is a fast learner, totally food motivated, super friendly with a happy disposition and loves to play, play, play. We absolutely adore her and I believe our older GSD thinks we brought her home especially for him. The two of them make quite the pair and are the best of buds. Right now her coat is really changing. She was a little fuzz ball up until just a couple weeks ago; whereas now she is getting her adult coat. It is wonderful watching her grow up. Hope all is well with you. Take care, Cheryl |

Jan,
Lily is doing great. I’ve never met such a smart puppy. She already knows her name, the command to come, sit, down and we are working on stay. The vet said and I quote, “I like everything about this dog.” He was really impressed with her temperament and overall well being. She had no parasites or worms. Her little ears are starting stand. One popped up this morning. I have attached a photo. If you have any of her puppy photos we would love to get them. She was little girl green if that helps. The boys are loving her up. She doesn’t mind the kennel at all and last night slept from 11:00 to 6:00 this morning when we had to wake her up to take her outside. She already goes to the door and whines to go out. Love her for that. We have had very few “accidents” and think potty training is nearly done. She is so smart. Thank you again for breeding such sweet and beautiful dogs. We have received so many compliments on her temperament and good looks. She is the best puppy ever and has exceeded all out expectations. Andrea Jan, Just thought I would let you know that Lily is doing great. She started puppy obedience and is at the top of the class. She already knows all the basic commands and everyone loves her. She has become Michael’s baseball team’s unofficial mascot and get more attention than any of the ball players. She is growing by leaps and bounds and becoming bolder by the day. As you can see from the photos, she couldn’t be cuter. We all love her beyond what we imagined. She really is a darling doggie. Andrea ![]() |

I have two of Jan's pups. KayCee is 3 years old and such a joy to be around. She loves everyone she meets. We do agility together and she is something else on the course! Almost every judge she has ran for has commented on how much she loves agility and how beautiful she is. Her first 12 trials she won 12 titles! We run in the NADAC agility trials and last weekend we tried the UKC Agility. UKC has some of the same equipment but they also have equipment that she has not seen before. In NADAC KayCee has run faster than some Boarder Collies. UKC is more of a precision venue. You start out with 200 points and you need 175 pts. to qualify. Her first run she got 192 pts and the second one she got 197! She learns fast and runs with such happiness. It's Great to have her as a partner. I also have Cisco who was owned by another person for the first 2 years of his life. She could no longer keep him so we went and picked him up. He had not been socialized and he had some fear issues with people. He is now 4 and doing great. He also loves agility but the Friday before Christmas this year he tore his cruciate ligament on his left knee. He had surgery and rehab and is doing great. He could return to agility training but for his own good we are going to do Rally (an obedience event). He is such a loving clown. He always makes us laugh with his funny antics and gestures. He likes to jump straight up in the air with all four feet off the ground. When he lands he tilts his head with his tongue sticking out the side of his mouth. Jan does a great job with her dogs. They are very smart and great companions. My grandkids adore them both. The biggest thing as with all pups is to make sure you socialize them. Puppy classes are great as they are exposed to both people and other pups. One of the great things about them is they can play really hard but when you say 'okay that's enough let's go in and settle down', they do. I just can't say enough about these dogs. People are amazed when they see them because of their beauty and temperament. Here are a couple of pictures. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions you may have. Terri |

Hi There Everything in Little Rock is wonderful. Having more fun then should be allowed. This fellow is a pistol. He and Steiger and BIG byddies. Steiger is just crazy about him and is very very careful with him. I am so happy with the way they get along. Eat and drink right next each other and no problems. Cheryl said one thing. You taught him to back talk to much. And boy does he talk back to her, when she tells him to leave something alone. We had our 10 week shots. My vet wanted me to tell you how impressed she was. She check a fecial exam and was very impressed that he had no problems at all.(checked at 8 weeks and 10 weeks) She said that it was very rare to find that in a new puppy(virus, worms or some other parasites) She said that she was very impressed with what ever you do with your kennels. (Chery and I knew that a long time ago) Cheryl and I hope things are as good for you as it is for us. I have 2 more weeks off from work and having a blast with my boys. Will send new picturies soon Larry Cheryl Steiger and Baby Schroeder Hey Jan! I hope you are doing well. It looks like you guys may be getting snow up in that area. I wanted to let you know that Schroeder received his CGC this weekend. He did really well and Larry and I are so proud of him. He has turned into to the most lovable, sweet thing. He was trying to give the evaluator kisses when she was checking out his ears and feet. Good thing she didn't mind big, wet German Shepherd kisses. I just wanted to keep you posted. He is doing well and we are loving him dearly. Cheryl and Larry ![]() |

| Xira is doing fantastick! She has started really warming up to the whole family and is now playing with everyone. She gets along with our other dog excellent and has learned to share all of the toys and stuff. We are very pleased with her. All we have to do is finish potty training her because she still has a few accidents every now and then but we will get those worked out. Thought I would just let you know how things were going with her. Brian |

| Hello Jan, Here is a recent picture of our terrific Sam, my other terrific GSD Diesel and me in beautiful Sedona. (N litter, Montana-Bronson, 8/05).The other picture is them with my husband. Its hard to believe Sam will be 3 in Aug. What a sweetheart he is. He is a great protector and wonderful companion. His personality could not be any better. I see Bronson is going to retire soon. What a pleasure to have been able to have one of his offspring. Take care, Joanna |

| Jan, I hope all is well with both of you, the dogs and puppies. I just thought I'd write with an update on Zoey. We weighed her the week before Christmas and she was 63.4 pounds! She is a big girl. She is a very smart girl who is not afraid of anything and absolutely loves to play! I think one of her favorite things is to play ball. We bounce the ball up into the air and she will catch it. She done wonderful in her puppy kindergarten classes, and all of the teachers told me how much smarter she was than all of the other dogs in the class! She will be getting spayed and her hernia fixed on 1-19-07. She doesn't seem to want to go into the doghouse though even when it's raining or cold out. She just continues to play and dig in the rain and mud. I have a bunch of pictures of her that I plan on downloading this weekend, so I will send you some. Happy New Year to you both. Rhonda |

Hello Jan,
Kendall just got back from his farm and snapped a few pictures of his ever so lived dog Natasha from your "N" litter. Her parents were Montana and Bronson. She loves to get out and play and with her nose she isn't a half bad bird dog. You can see her on point where they got up some pheasants and quail. After us kids moved out Natasha has been our replacement. Needless to say she get a lot of attention. Kendall wanted me to share this with you. Thanks for breeding such great dogs. She is the joy of their life.

Amara (Arina's, yellow girl) has settled into her home very nicely. Her new favorite toy is the snow. She absolutely loves to go outside and play in the snow. She loves to sit and watch it snow or she runs around like a crazy dog throwing the snow up in the air with her nose. Amara also has several neat little tricks she does... she hops in the shower with us. After she gets a bath she decides that this is not a good idea for at least a week. Her other trick is she brings us her food bowl when she gets hungry. She also brings us the water bowl if it gets too low for her taste. This is just a little annoying Amara also seems to enjoy watching television. At six months Amara weighed in at 52 lbs. The older she gets the more she reminds me of our GSD, Justice. Amara was spayed earlier this month. The vet gave us some specific guidelines on how much activity she was allowed the next two weeks. Amara was willing to follow them for almost two days!! Fortunately, she is healed now. We absolutely love having Amara. Amara has even grown on the "old grump," Jasmine.
Cinnamon It is exactly a week since Amara ("yellow girl") arrived at her new home. Amara has been to the vet and is healthy. I think she is adjusting well. Surprisingly, she has stopped that whining thing. I would not consider her "very vocal" at all now. She did bark for the first time today though. Amara has learned her name and she knows "no." She can already sit and she is getting shake figured out if you bribe her with a treat. I am still trying to figure out how I can bottle her energy and sell it because she is FULL of energy It's nothing that thirty toys won't take care of (if she could just get it figured out that flip-flops and slippers are not toys!). She is the most beautiful puppy I have ever seen. She gets a ton of attention anywhere we go. The old grump that lived here is even letting Amara lay next to her sometimes. Tomorrow Amara is going to meet her "grandparents," she is excited to go for another car ride. Cinnamon |

| I recently purchased a Yago/Iris female pup from your kennel. She is a dream. I have never worked with a pup so smart. She has the natural Shepard stance and gait She weighs in at 57lbs at 7mos. My vet said she hasn't seen a Shepard pup of this quality in years. Rosie is a true joy. I see on your web you have a Bronson litter sold out in March. Do you have any other long hair litters coming on from him? I would like to purchase a Bronson male pup that looks just like him. He reminds me of the long coats my Dad used to breed. Please let me know if you want a down payment now. Thank you Debbie Danville Pa |

Hi Jan,
Charlie wants to say Happy Thanksgiving to you and his mom and dad.
He is doing great. He weighs 28 pounds. He enjoys the office and is wonderful around my pediatric patients, and the therapists. His favorite thing, however, is playing outside and exploring. He still likes to "bite on us" but this is getting better every day. He will begin puppy school as soon as he gets his rabies shot on December 17th.
He is gorgeous and we love him!
Suzan I have been meaning to send you an update on our big boy Charlie. He was "evaluated" today for puppy school and will begin in February. the school is called The Olde Towne School for Dogs and is a very reputable school outside of Washington DC. They have trained some presidents' dogs and many dogs for movies. They were very impressed with Charlie. They thought he was beautiful, well behaved and very smart. The owner himself wants to train him. Everyone asked where we found him. He now weighs 45 pounds. He will be neutered in February. He is still coming to work with me and is very good at the office. I am going to try to attach a picture to this e-mail, but I have been having trouble with this. Thank you again for the wonderful dog. We love him so much. The one picture is taken at my office, and the twins in the picture were conjoined twins separated last year. the one girl is paralyzed from the chest down. she is in a wheelchair. you may see them often on discovery channel and in many magazines. they made history. suzan ![]() |

| I have to say I absolutely love Odin (Tan boy from the Cecil/Joy litter), he just had his last series of shots, and in a few weeks I'll take him in to check to see if his other testicle drops and to set up his neutering. He's already 30 lbs, and the vet says he's at his ideal weight. He's extremely beautiful, and he has such large paws I expect him to be a very large German shepherd :) He's very sweet and smart, and he loves to run around. His adult coat is starting to come in, his ears are starting to stand up a lot, and he's just already so much bigger. He's learning sit quite well and we're working on come, he's not too good at fetch yet as he likes to run to the ball then just chew on it haha. I'm getting him signed up for puppy kindergarten soon, and now I'm also starting to spend more time training him as he has a longer attention span. You and your husband have done a wonderful job raising and breding your dogs, everytime I take Odin out I get complimented on having such a sweet and beautiful dog. Thanks again for giving me the chance to purchase a dog from you, and if I move to a bigger house and want another dog I'll be sure to contact you again. -Craig. |

| Just dropping a note to let you know Hesta's yellow girl, now Zoë, is doing great!! We love her so much! She was even great on the drive home. I had warned Noah she might cry, a lot, but she was very calm. She has made a very smooth transition. She get more beautiful every day, and she is so smart! She is 99% house trained, she sits and can down on command. I don't have digital camera, so it may be a few weeks, but we will send you pics. ASAP. Thanks again -Svetlana |

| Hi Jan, We had a good trip back home on Friday. Nikki is so well adjusted and happy! She and our other dogs are getting along fine. Sasha, our Great Pyrenees, gave Nikki part of her morning biscuit treat today. We were so surprised, since she won't share any food with Oden, our German Shepherd. And Sasha actually took a small piece of the broken biscuit over to Nikki. Our cat Cassie is tolerating Nikki, and says that Nikki has a little too much energy for her right now. Nikki especially loves the snow here. It is melting fast, but she loves to eat it. I've attached a photo of her in our backyard snow. We are having a lot of fun with her. I can't believe how smart she is. She learned her name almost immediately and "come" in just a short while. Thank you so much for such a wonderful puppy! Jeff & Genelle |

| Jan, I just to update you on Strauss. He is doing great. He was up to 26 lbs about a week ago, so he is probably right at 30 now. His personality is really coming through. He is learning his name and starting to come when called. Steiger and he are big buddies. That is what we were concerned with, but it looks like Steiger was just needing a friend since Schultz passed away. They wrestle and Steiger knows to be easy with him. Strauss doesn't give up though. He maybe a challenge as he gets over. We are truly enjoying him. I have attached a couple of older photos. I will send news one's as we get them. Just so you know, our email is down at the house. We are in the process of changing providers. Once I have that address I will forward. I have put the contract in the mail. Sorry for being late. We have been so wrapped up in the little guy, we honestly forgot. Hope all is well with you. Thanks again for everything. Cheryl |

| dear jan, I know you have normally speak with John, but as the "mom" I wanted to let you know how much we all have enjoyed having Ziggy in our family. When John was first talking about wanting a "german" german shepard, and the cost of the dog, I must admit I was more than a little taken by surprise. Being that we are not rich by anyone's standards, and that I am the keeper of the checkbook, I was really leery about the amount of money that the dog was going to cost. Now that I am more educated about German Shepards and the quality of bloodlines, I think we have gotten quite a bargain! I have seen many shepards at the park, the pet store, etc, and none of them are as good looking, and well behaved as Ziggy. I may be a little biased, but all the other dogs we have seen locally are WAY beneath Ziggy in looks and smarts. In fact, several people have asked us if we would be interested in breeding, and none of the prospective moms was anything we would even consider as being good enough to even waste our time. Ziggy is so smart. I am a little jealous, because Ziggy gets way more of John's time than I do! That is no joke! A walk in the morning, training in the evening, and of course the routine football toss game every night witht the whole family. I just wanted to thank you for sending us the best looking, smartest, and sweetest dog. We love him! Sincerely, Susan |

| Hi Jan, Sorry for the delay, Kona has had soo many visitiors it is my first free moment. We picked her up around 1pm and she was a little scared at first. As soon as she was out of her crate, she was full of kisses and a total joy! We took her to the pet shop and she had her first bath, which went perfectly. She just sat in the tub waiting for more belly rubs. She had a couple of friends stop by and seems to be perfect. She is very mellow and super super friendly. It seems like she has already bonded to me and my poor husband feels left out. I had told him she would bond to him since she was the male, but it is only her first day. She is a total lap dog already and went to dinner with us and fell asleep in my lap. :) I guess my point is ... she is safe and sound in her new home and we are having a great time with her. She is so much fun! She is going to the vet tomorrow morning to get her last shot! Thanks for everything and we will definitely follow up shortly with pictures and I am sure many fun stories! Best, Emma |

| Hi Jan, Well...I'm finally at my new home and it sure is great! I have my own bed (crate) next to Bill & Janis' bed and plenty of chew toys. I also have a big yard with lots of room to run and play. I do have to share the house with another dog, Quincy and two cats, Moe and Pearl, but that's OK cause I've only been here 4 days and I'm already Bill's favorite. He calls me his shadow and he knows just where I like to be petted and he rubs my chest and belly just the way I like it! Quincy tries to snap and bark at me if I get too close but he's warming up. Pearl didn't pay any attention to me from the first day I got here and Moe doesn't seem to like me at all. I don't know why....I kinda walk a wide circle around her right now but she is letting me get a little closer before she growls and hisses at me. I'm sure we will eventually get to be good friends cause her and Quincy play and wrestle together all the time. Maybe she will want to wrestle with me someday. The plane ride was OK but it was kinda noisy! I was so happy when Bill arrived to pick me up. We stopped in a wooded area on the way home so I could do the number 1 and 2. I also got some water to drink and a couple of milk bones. When we got home, I was a little shy about checking out my new digs but now, I know my way around pretty good. I have my own food bowl but have to share the water with Quincy, Moe and Pearl and that's OK cause there is plenty. I'm including a couple of pictures of me playing with one of my favorite toys and a group picture of me, Quincy, Moe and Pearl. Moe is the black and white cat on the floor and Pearl is on the table looking down at all of us. I went to the vet on Friday and have to go back this week for another puppy shot. I got one of those micro-chip things implanted at the vet and it didn't hurt a bit. I went to work with Bill today and had a pretty good time. I met all of his employees and got to run around the whole office. It's a neat place. I have my own bed, food and water bowl in Bill's office and I like to lay under his desk or near his feet when he is working. He has to watch me when he moves his chair. It has rollers and sometimes I get too close but Bill makes sure I move first so I don't get hurt. I met the rest of the family Friday night when I went to a birthday party for Callie, Bill's 2 year old granddaughter. Bill took movies of me playing with Brian's dogs. Buck is a puppy like me and we get along great! He likes to play just like me. The kids are all nice to me and Bill makes sure they don't hurt me or get to rough with me. I am working on my house training. I've only messed up 1 time when Bill wasn't paying attention to me. He takes me out a lot so I have plenty of chances to go. I also start puppy kindergarten with my friend Buck next week. We have an 8 week class and I just know that I'm going to be the best dog there. I just love it here! Thanks for letting me come to this family. I can already tell they love me a whole lot too. I'll write more later and send more pictures. Also check out my web page at www.texasparkers.com. I will have my own space where I can tell about my life here with Bill & Janis and their family. Tell mom and dad I said "ruff ruff"! Gracie - The Texas Wonder Dog! ! ! |

| It is exactly a week since Amara ("yellow girl") arrived at her new home. Cinnamon |

| Hi Jan, I just wanted to touch base with you to tell you how Jena is doing. She has gotten very big and she is so sweet. I have to say that her temperment is one of the best I have seen in any dog. She wants everyone to love her, to pet her and to be her friend. And she loves the water! She is not fond of getting a bath, though. But she loves to play with the hoses. My dad has a fire hose that Jena LOVES! She really likes to get drenched and get blasted by the hoses. She chases the water and bites it. It is so cute. I just wanted to say thank you for bringing her into our lives. She is such a sweet girl, although she is a bit stinky at the moment. She does not like to stay clean for more than a day and she just got a bath this week. Jena and Gunner play all of the time and they adore each other. When I take Gunner to Ian's with me he is interested in being there for about an hour then he is ready to go home to see Sister. Thanks Again, The Ornellas |

| Hi, Janet: Just wanted to give you an update so far on Arina's Pink Girl (Rain). All is great so far! We got home OK. Cried a little in the crate and then slept most of the way home. We saw the our vet the next morning (she's going to Natural Animal Clinic in Boulder with Drs. Silver and Sanderlin). The doctor said she looks healthy and beautiful - a fine specimen of the breed and complimented your kennel. She actually slept most of the time at the vet. (Her nap times are around 8:00-11:00 and then she's out again around 2:00, and she's pretty firm on those times. Bombs could fall and she'd hardly twitch I think - maybe look around a bit, readjust, and crash again.) Our vet agrees that the belly button hernia is no immediate problem and can likely wait to be fixed when she goes in to get spayed in December. We will be entering her into Puppy Pre-school beginning September 9. She already knows her name, can sit and actually will sit on her own when someone new approaches. She seems to love people of all kinds. She's pretty funny. She'll see someone and sit with a kind of expectation of "I've seen you, and am now waiting for you to notice me and give me the attention I deserve!" Little queen! But a real sweetie. She's been great so far and we've been taking her everywhere with us. The crate training is coming along - she's actually much better with the car. We're checking out elevators next weekend...! Anyway, just wanted to let you know that Rain's doing great and not to worry! Thanks again for all your help and information, Sherry |

Jan, I thought that I'd let you know that Bri went to the vet today for her final set of shots. She's doing great ! She is a very happy and outgoing pup. She is so curious about life. We took the dogs to the pond the other day and let them chase sticks that we threw into the water, Bri bailed in like she had been doing it for years. She loves going with me when I ride and she stays right with the horse without being told. She learned to scratch at the door to be let out in 3 tries and she learned to sit and wait while I put the food down for her and Uma and Zoe. She will wait until I tell her that it's ok to go eat. (about 30 seconds ) I think that's really good for a 12 week old pup. She is a talker and spends a lot of her day telling me all the things that she saw that I might have missed. She is now leaving the cats alone, although she did tell off the one at the vet's today for jumping off the counter and scaring her, after all she is BIG BAD PUPPY and SHE would never actually jump a foot in the air and run under the chair before looking out to see what had landed behind her! It was pretty funny to see her trying to rescue her pride! The cat didn't have a clue what she was barking about and just acted shocked that Bri would even bark at her. Bri has learned to "sit pretty" ( sit up and beg ) for her Nu Vet tablet, she learned that in one try, the other two are still working on it. She has slept thru the night every night since we came and got her. She is great we Love her! Thanks for raising such great pups---Pam Jan, I thought I'd let you know how important Bri is to us. I think I told you on the phone that Ed's grandmother had died on the 6th of April but I didn't tell you that the man I considered to be my father died the day we picked Bri up from you. We found out after we got to the hotel that night after we picked her up. She gave me something good to focus on that night. To me most things are pre-ordained which means that she was a gift. Not only from God but also from my dad and Ed's grandma. Bri has such a love for life she makes me grin every day and who can ask for more? She is always into something and you can see the wheels turning in her mind to see if she can get away with it.(not usually) She always has a twinkle in her eye. She is the puppy that Red and Grandma would have picked for us, as both of them were always playing jokes on someone! She has helped me to remember that good things always come along to balance the bad. I'm so glad that we drove down to get her as it allowed us to meet you and Butch. Bri has learned to bring me different items on command I can hardly believe that such a young pup knows the difference between "bone, squeeky, rope and red toy." But she is getting very consistent about it. When we go on road trips she has learned to go potty on command and she has never had an accident in the truck. Her mind is like a sponge, she picks up anything I want to teach in just a couple of tries. I know a lot of human kids who aren't that willing to learn! She plays tug of war with me or Uma and she is learning to "pull hard " on command and to drop the toy when I say "out". She weighs 30 pounds today and is growing like a weed. Her ears are standing up although they still flop a little to the center so it looks like she has a pyramid on her head! I keep telling her it's not exactly a fashionable look but it's cute. ---Pam Jan, I ment to let you know that Bri Came thru her spay and hernia fix just fine. My vet even let me help with the surgery. I'm glad that I used to work for a couple of vets so that Dr. Baxter was willing to let me stay. She got to come home the same day as well which made me feel better cause I didn't want to leave her over night. She is just over 6 months now and she stands 25 inches at the shoulder and weighs in at a thin 75 pounds. She is going to be a very BIG girl --- just what I was hoping for. She is still probally the smartest dog that I have ever been around and the most willing to please. She has definently bonded incrediblly strongly to me. She will not let me out of her sight and seems to believe that her mission in life is to be by my side no matter what situation we are in. She is willing to let other people touch her but she is so focused on me and our surroundins that it is almost as if the other people dont exist unless someone moves too quickly towards me. Then she has this VERY direct stare that seems to make people nervous. She will play with children and is very patient with them but even then She always knows where I am and what I'm doing. She is always in the middle of some practical joke. She loves to steal some object that I or the other dogs might have and then go hide it. You can see the laughter in her eyes as we try to find the TV remote or the dog food bowls. If we can't find it after 5 minutes or so she is so proud of herself she runs in circles and then she takes pity on us poor souls and will bring the object to me. (THANK GOD) She makes me laugh every day. Thanks for letting her join our lives---Pam |

Hi Jan! I thought I should update you on Timber (Blue Boy from the "U" litter)
At 14 weeks he was a thin 33.5 pounds, received his last puppy vaccines and his rabies shot. He made a trip to the Chicago area with me, and attended his first dog show (I was judging, so he spent most of his time crated) He was absolutely wonderful - acted like he's been stating in hotels forever! He's housebroken, and is almost through puppy kindergarten. He knows sit, down, come, front, his name, walks well on a leash, and is convinced that he's a Rottweiler Hi Jan!! I had Timber to the vet on Friday to get a health certificate - he's off to Canada with me this week. At just shy of 5 months he's still thin, at 53 pounds, and stands about 20" at the withers. We started formal Obedience class last week. He's doing great - everyone that I train with comments on how smart he is. He's learning to heel now, and he's working on stay from a sit, down and stand. He's also starting to do a down, sit, come and finish with signals only (no voice)!! He continues to love everyone and is just a really happy puppy. He recently started to bark quite a bit when he's in the yard. We're working on teaching him "no barking" as a command, but we're not quite there yet. I promised you some pictures, and here they are... Timber is doing great - he's well over 60 pounds now (at 6 months) and is still rail thin. I think he's going to be a big guy. He went with me to training over the weekend, and had his very first Novice Obedience "run through" - we didn't attempt the heel off leash exercise, but he did a lovely job of everything else. What a smart puppy!! And affectionate - he insists on "loveys" every morning even before he'll go outside or eat his breakfast! It's cute!! I can hardly wait to meet the girl from Montana's litter who will be coming to Des Moines this weekend, It will be fun to see a baby puppy again!! Lorelle Hi Jan! I thought I'd send you this picture of Timber and I earning our UUD last weekend in Peoria, IL. He finished with a 4th place and two 2nd places (3 qualifying scores needed in order to get the title, we got one last fall, the others on Sunday) The UUD is the UKC Utility Dog title - thought by many competitors to be one of the most difficult Obedience titles to train for, so this is very exciting! We're also halfway through the RAE title, which is the highest Rally Obedience title AKC offers. Plus, he's 1 for 1 in Obedience Versatility, which combines all three levels of AKC Obedience, with a 1st place! All of this and he just turned three the end of February! I'm really pleased with how he's doing in competition - and continue to be thrilled with him at home and as my travel buddy as well! So if anyone asks you if the dogs you breed can work, you have another example!! Hi Jan: I thought I'd give you an update on Timber's show career... He finished his AKC Versatility Title in early April, and just this past weekend he finished his CDX. On to Utility (we hope to debut in Fort Dodge, Iowa in June)! We walked out of the ring on Saturday, and I remarked that showing Timber exhausts me - we're in the ring for 5 minutes and it feels like forever because he's just so excited to be there that he almost can't think and I have to think for both of us. Another handler overheard my comment and told me that she enjoys watching us because it's so obvious that he's having fun. Too much fun sometimes! He is a showoff - plays to the spectators and is always aware of where they are! My training buddies refer to the crowd as his "adoring public" because even as much as Timber loves them, the people who know him love him even more. He remains absolutely a joy to live with and to train! Now he's officially known as: UUD Uber Gandulf vom SchlossFelsen CDX VER RAE URO-1 CanCD Pretty good for a dog that only turned 4 at the end of February! Lorelle Hi Jan! The latest news from Timber's show career - he now has his AKC Utility Dog title. He earned it in three straight tries, with two first places and a second place! Since February he's earned his AKC CD, CDX, Versatility, and UD titles! We're hoping to finish the United Obedience Champion title yet this year, as well as starting work on the Utility Dog Excellent (UDX) title. And - he continues to be a really special dog who loves everyone! He spent this weekend traveling with me to the eastern edge of Indiana (about 560 miles each way) to hang out at a large UKC show I was judging. It's great to have such a good travel buddy! Take care! Lorelle and UUD UR01 Uber Gandulf vom SchlossFelsen UD RAE VER Can CD RL2 ![]() ![]() |

| Hi Jan, I hope all is well with you and Butch. I also hope your air conditioning is working since it appears to be very hot in NE. I also see all the pups you are expecting...wow. In my next life I want to come back as Bronson. My wife gave birth on 6/8 without complication. Robert, Mary and my wife Sally are all home and doing fine. Now on to the rascal Sampson aka redboy. There is not a single day that goes by without someone stopping me and asking where I got such a beautiful puppy. Being a physician I live in an ok neighborhood and everyone has their dogs, purebreed bulldogs, retrievers, setters etc. However, no one draws more attention than Sampson, most of it coming from the above dog owners. He has the perfect temperament. He is playful and loving with family members and wary of strangers. He now dwarfs the carrier he arrived in. He is very happy it seems with his Kennel Aire crate. Sampson has a crazy prey drive but he is always able to be controlled. He is very intelligent and picks up command after about 10 reps. He has no fear at all and approaches any new situation at my side and never behind me. He seems to be thriving on the BARF diet. Last night it was ground buffalo with chicken hearts and gizzzards. Plus his vegtable mix of apple, carrot, celery, and sweet potato. The veggies are organic and combined with organic egg and shell, honey and orgo milk. I also mix in his Nuvet, kelp, Vit C, alfalfa powder and Salmon oil. Each morning he gets a bone to work on, usuall turkey wing. He devours every morsel. I appologize for not getting him to the Vet in the three days. We had so much going on here. Plus I knew there was no way I would ever send him back. Once he looks at you with those eyes, well everyone gets hooked. I will send back the contract and again apologize for its delay. I cannot believe how lucky I am to have found your site. Sampson is the perfect pet. He has Bronson's build and Ellie's energy. I mean he literally has no off switch. We can come back from a walk of a mile and he is ready to go back out the door again. I was curious if you had anyother feedback from people who took pups from his litter? He has developed a full bite and can hold on with a jaw of steel, yet he will allow me to remove toys from his mouth and take up his food bowl without any fuss. I want to thank you again for your help in selecting him. I would also be happy to serve as a reference for any prospective buyers. Now I await the pics of the new litters on your site. I will send a pic of Sampson this weekend so you can see how he has grown. He is solid muscle. I wish you and your family all the best. Joe |

| Hi Jan, It's Toni, Amadeus' mom. Sorry I haven't contacted you in a long time. I think of you and the shepherds often. Amadeus had his first birthday a couple of months ago!!! I planned on getting some new photos to you then, but we were having some issues with our digital camera holding its charge. (Yep, we still haven't looked into that situation.) Hopefully we can get that remedied soon so I can show you what a big boy he is now (70 lbs.) He is built like my first German Shepherd Stevie Ray - long and tall. I can't wait for him to start filling out... maybe like his daddy, Bronson. Amadeus still loves to chase the kitties, but we are continually working on that. Have you heard of Bark Busters? It's a training method that teaches you how to train a dog like a member of your "pack". You use some growling and snapping noises for discipline, and happy voices and petting for praise. You NEVER use ANY physical discipline, not even a little smack on the nose or a pull of the collar. (I was very pleased about this aspect, because I would never want to hurt one of my babies to try to "earn" their respect like I've seen other people do). My husband and I have been very happy so far. We got a free training since I work at a veterinary clinic, so we had him work with both Amadeus and his older brother Monster. Well, I hope all is well out in Nebraska. It's just over a year ago that my girlfriend and I drove the long haul out there from Michigan to pick up my baby. I'm still glad that I did it that way so I could meet you and Amadeus' parents and the other shepherds! Have a wonderful Holiday Season!!!!! Toni :-) |

| Jan,
Just wanted to drop a line and let you know how Jack is doing. He now weighs 30 lbs and continues to be very dark. Not many tan markings. He started puppy class and of course he was the smartest puppy there. Actually, the trainers asked were I got Jack. They were very interested in the look of him but also impressed with how intelligent he is. He has settled wonderfully. He knows sit, down, off, roll over, stay, leave it, come, no and a few choice words that kinda slipped out. He is my shadow and follows me everywhere, and I mean everywhere. He has even tried to get in the shower with me a few times. I really believe he is a blessing sent to me by God.
My husband and I are interested in purchasing a female from the litter you are to breed in Feburary. Please put me on that list.
Thanks and God Bless.
Teresa Jan, Just wanted to touch base with a Jack story, thought you would appreciate it. Several nights ago Jack woke me up about 2:00 am barking incessently. Now Jack is pretty barkless, he only barks if you aren't paying him the attention he thinks he deserves, but never in the middle of the night, because it would interrupt his beauty sleep. Anyway, when he started barking and wouldn't stop I figured something was up, so I got out of bed and opened the bedroom door. Jack ran through the house and down the hallway to my 14 yr old sons bathroom and started scratching and whining at the door. When I got there I found my son hugging the toilet and vomiting uncontrolably. He told me that he had just made it to the bathroom in time. Jack was very worried, but calmed down when he saw that my son was OK. My son slept on the couch the rest of the night and Jack went and checked on him several times. The next day, the doctor told me that my son has the flu. He is starting to feel better now. I knew Jack loves me very much and is very protective of me, but I wasn't sure if he would be that way with the whole family. All doubts are gone, he loves us all and will always watch over all of us, which makes me feel wonderful, expecially with the new baby coming. It really amazes my husband that a 4 1/2 month old puppy would be that alert and protective. I told him "WHAT DO YOU EXPECT...HE'S A GIFT FROM GOD". I hope my Jack story touched you as much as it continues to touch me. Thank you once again for entrusting this special guy to my family. I will be sending updated photos soon. Teresa Janet, Sorry its been so long since I last gave you an update on Jack. But I had the baby, and I can honestly say that I'm way to old for this. Jack is doing wonderfully. He has fallen in love with my baby daughter and really doesn't want anyone else to hold her but myself, my husband and my son. He now is a hefty 100 lbs and getting bigger every day. The love and affection he shows us is neverending. I can never thank you enough for the opportunity to have him as a part of our family. Attached are some photos I took during our hurricane evacuation. Of course Jack evacuated with us. Hope you think he's as beautiful as we do. Sincerely, Teresa ![]() |

| Jan,
Glad you got the photos. I'm not a very good photographer, but if I take enough pics, at least a few should be good! He is so pretty, and very sweet. David has been gone all week and we have really bonded. He is turning into a mama's boy. Even the temptation of fresh horse poop hasn't taken him from my side for very long! I have had no trouble with biting and mouthiness since David has been gone - so we'll see how he does when "daddy" comes home. Sami and I were on the floor last night just hangin' out. I have been hooked by him from the moment he walked out of the crate at the airport, but as we cuddled on the floor I gave him a kiss and told him I love him. I think that's the first time I actually told him how I felt about him. We've been so busy working things out with each other, I think I missed out on that part. I waited to get a new puppy until I thought I was ready. Now that I really love who he is, I wonder how I could have been without that kind of connection. I call you and tell you our "stories", but I don't think I've ever really told you how much Samson means to me. Thank you so much for your careful breeding program, loving care and thoughtful placement of your pups. Samson is fast becoming my best friend (after my husband, of course), my constant shadow, and my ready entertainment. He has already filled the hole in my heart created when there was no longer a dog in my life. Who would have thought such a little guy could have so many jobs?
Thanks again,
Randi Dear Mamma Jan, I just wanted to let you know that I'm growing like crazy in my new home. I still love you, and miss being one of your babies, but in my new home I'm the ONLY baby, and I like that. I don't have to share hugs and kisses with any other dogs. This week I graduated Obedience I with flying colors. The teachers are all impressed that I'm so very smart at only 6 months. I know how smart I am, I just don't want to show off too much. I went on my first camping trip last weekend. It was fun, and I didn't bark too much. I just get so excited over new things it's sometimes hard to be quiet! Love, Samson ![]() |

| Hi Jan,
I have been meaning to write to you but haven't been on the computer much. Dakota would rather I play with him than type on the computer :-) He is fantastic and yes, gorgeous too! I have had so many compliments. There have even been several your way - your breeder must be very responsible or he must have come from a good breeder. Of course I am quick to agree with them.
Russ and I bonded with him right away. Many people are surprised at how quickly he recognized us as his new parents. We've had him around a lot of people and he has no problem going over to other people, but he always returns to us. It's such a nice feeling that he loves us as much as we love him.
I took him to the vet on Monday for the last of his puppy shots. He is now 38 lbs.!!!! The vet said he is at a perfect weight . His coloring is beautiful and he has a fantastic personality. We are having so much fun with him. There isn't much that seems to intimidate him. Loud noises don't bother him and he is very curious. He has just recently discovered his voice and has no problem letting me know that I shouldn't be sitting reading a book. He walks great on a leash and loves to go for puppy walks.
This isn't a complaint because we love Dakota just the way he is, but it doesn't look as if he is going to have a plush coat. I thought I'd enjoy having another plush coated GSD but it really doesn't matter. I knew right from the start that was a hit or miss proposition.
We do have pictures that we can share with you. Russ is away right now and he is the one that knows how to send them. When he gets back, I'll ask him to send them to you.
Thanks for getting in touch. It was nice to hear from you. Dakota sends his love and says to let you know that the toy you sent is still one of his favorites!!!!
Cheers,
Donna and Dakota Hi Jan, Dakota turned one year old this month. I wanted to make sure that I got some pictures to you before Russ leaves on his 6 month deployment to the Gulf. We have enjoyed watching Dakota grow into a beautiful dog with a wonderful personality. He is so good natured and gets along with everyone. I think he has taken it upon himself to protect the entire neighborhood. Often when I wake up in the morning, I see him at the window looking up and down the street. His protective instincts kicked in when he was about 4 months old. He is very alert to any noises he is not sure about, yet very gentle with all the kids in the neighborhood. I think he is the best of both worlds. We are very happy that he is a part of our lives. Thanks for such a great GSD, Donna, Russ and Dakota Hi Jan, Just wanted to give you an update on the best companion in the whole world - DAKOTA!!! I took him to the vets for his rabies booster yesterday. I was anxious to find out how much he weighs. The last time he was weighed was before Russ left, so it's been a few months. He is now 85 lbs. The vet said he is a perfect weight and it is now time to switch him to adult food. He did say to keep an eye on his weight as he might lose a few lbs. with the change. Dakota is definitely not a food dog. If you give him a choice between his ball and food, he will always choose his ball. That little boy loves to play. I keep food in his bowl most of the time and he seems to eat just when he is hungry. Russ is about half way through his deployment. Dakota has made such a difference in my life with Russ being so far away. I never feel alone with him around. He is the best companion I could ever ask for. I continue to be amazed at how well he behaves. As I've told you before, Russ had little time to train him before he left. He never leaves the yard and he is getting to where I can call him if another dog comes along and he comes right back to me. I can leave him in the house and he doesn't bother anything that isn't his. Three of my neighbors have Goldens and when they call their dogs, Dakota is the one who goes to them. It is very hard to believe that he is already 15 months old. But in other ways, it seems like he has been a part of our family forever. This would have been a much more difficult deployment if I did not have him. Hope all is going smoothly for you. Russ has our digital camera with him. As soon as he gets back, I'll get some updated pictures to you. Dakota is such a beautiful dog that I can't wait for you to see what he looks like. Cheers, Donna and Dakota Hi Jan, I have been meaning to write and let you know how Dakota did on his journey across the ocean. I started my new job and moved into our new house all in the same week. I am just now catching up with myself. Since today is Dakota's 3rd birthday, it is the perfect day to get in touch with you. He is sitting on the rug in our living room enjoying the huge bone I gave him for his birthday. We flew out of Dulles on our trip to Belgium on one of the hottest day in July. I was very worried about Dakota traveling on such a hot day. United Airlines was wonderful. UA had a separate area for checking in oversized bags and animals. They were very caring and let us keep Dakota with us until the last minute. They also let us attach a small battery operated fan to the outside of his kennel and tape bottles of water to the top of his kennel. When we arrived in Brussels, we had to wait for Dakota's kennel to be brought out to the baggage area. I was very pleased to see that Dakota handled the flight like the great dog that he is. He was happy to get out of his kennel but did not seem concerned in the least. He was very thirsty and drank a lot of water but we could tell that someone had given him water after we checked him in at Dulles. We spent the next month in a small hotel room and Dakota was permitted to stay in the room with us. He did a great job adjusting to his new surroundings. We were very gald that he was able to stay with us so we made the best of all being in a small room. We were in a section of the hotel where other people also had their pets with them. Dakota quickly made new friends and everyone was impressed with how well he behaved. The hotel was right across the street from the base so we took Dakota on base every night for a walk. The gate guards quickly made friends with him and often teasted us about not wanting to check his id card. We are on a multi national base (SHAPE) so the guards are many different nationalities. We are often told what a beautiful dog he is. We laughed one day when the guards wanted to pull over our car for a search. When they saw Dakota, they changed their minds and let us go through unsearched. They were laughing as we went by saying there was no way they were going to pull over our car and search it with Dakota inside. We are now settled into our house. Luckily the Belgians have no problem renting to Americans with pets. Our landlord agreed to fence in our yard so we could leave Dakota outside during the day. He loves to be outside even on rainy days. We've provided a place for him to stay dry but the never bothers him. I have decided it is his choice since he could be dry if he wanted. We are so happy that he is here with us. Dakota is such a great companion and we are very thankful he is a part of our family. We appreciate the time and care you put into breeding GSDs. We will take some pictures of Dakota soon so you can see what a handsome boy he has turned out to be. He is now an international GSD!!! Au Revoir, Donna and Dakota ![]() |

| Vet appt. went very well. All looks fine. He got his next shots and micro chiped. Weighed 14.6 lbs... Everyone is in love with him.. Had a very good night last night. Only time he cried we took him our and he did his business and came back in a went back to sleep.. He is not afraid of anything, bounds down the steps to the back yard with gusto..Seems to be fitting in just fine. Strange to go to your kennel site and not see the pups. Glad they are all in their new homes. Best of Luck Jan |

| Good Morning-
I wanted to send a heartfelt Thanks from Ramsey and me for the puppy care package. We received it yesterday and spent last night looking through the book you put together. What a nice collectors piece with a wealth of information. Ramsey was thrilled with his toy. He laid on my slippers and played with it like a long lost friend. He carried it around all morning as well.
Now the goodies, my hips and thighs say Thank You and me, well I say darn you.....they are wonderful. The book and care package once again displays to me that you are a person that truly cares about your breeding, puppies and their future homes.
Logan has finally accepted that Ramsey is here to stay. At first he had that attitude that said "well isn't he CUTE, when does he go back home", . Now when I look outside Logan is laying on his back and Ramsey bouncing all over him. Logan has taken to playing games he use to play with Gator. He hold the ball in his mouth and shows it to Ramsey to get him to chase him. It is heart warming to have a touch of Gator in their games.
Jan I wish you, Butch and your family a wonderful Christmas. You have provided me with one of the best Christmas presents I could have hoped for.
Kim Good Morning Jan- It has been awhile since Ramsey and I touched base. Since I took this picture a day before his first birthday, I thought it was a good time to share with you how handsome he has become. Ramsey is a joy to have around the house helping me every step of the way on my daily chores. He oversees all the outdoor work such as catching the weeds as I pluck and throw them, rubbing noses with the horses while I feed, following me on the riding mower, walking me to the mailbox on the road. He has also stepped in and filled the shoes of my departed Gator. He uncovered one of Gator's old rubber balls and that has become a big game around our house. It warms my heart as it was Gator's job in life to follow me around with his rubber ball waiting for me to toss it. Ramsey is now about 96 lbs of bouncing energy. He never has four feet on the ground at any one time. He has really turned into a big "mom's boy" as he shadows my every move and waits at the sliding glass doors to see what direction my feet are pointed, in case I am heading toward the door. Ramsey has a trait that I have not seen in other shepherds, he hides everything. Given a treat, it shows up days later or a favorite toy will just disappear to show up weeks later. I still have no idea where he hides his things - but preserves them for a better time and then poof they show up. I have bought 10+ acres a little north of where I am now to build on. Ramsey has been enjoying our week ends of going north and overseeing the clean up of fence lines, cutting down mesquite trees, and warding off the miniature horses that roam the land today. Well, let me turn that around, the miniatures had both my shepherds running laps around my truck last week end. Quite a sight to watch horses that are shorter than my dogs put the run on them. We are excited to move to more room to run. The 5 acres has been great, but our new home will be built with their comforts and lifestyles in mind. I am planning to fence an acre for my yard which will be their domain while the horses can occupy the remainder. Hope all is well with you. I always watch your web site and admire the upcoming babies. I was very tempted to pick up the phone about 2 litters ago when a long coated little girl showed up and was not spoken for yet. She would have been a nice addition to my two boyz. Better wait to I get situated in my new place before considering another addition. Have a wonderful day and Happy Halloween! | Hi Jan.. Were back on line. My laptop went bad so I had to buy a new system. Good to here from you. Roy is doing Great. He is Huge. He is loosing his baby teeth this week. He goes everywhere with us. His field skills are exceptional. Some very large naborhood dogs ran up on us last week when we were hiking, Roy went off on them and they didn't know that to make of it. He has exceptional protection potential. He is in perfect health and we have had no problems with him. I am sending you a CD of photos soon, I need to add some new ones and burn a few screen savers from Arizona for you. Hope your all doing well and we are looking forward to looking at your website soon. Mike & Elke ............. |

| Jan, Our pup Bristol has just turned 1 year old, up to this point he has been great, intelligent, healthy, very independent and very self assured almost like he knows he's special. Our vet has been impressed and that in itself is saying something. We have 2 other Shepherds and Bristol does very well with them and has from the start. A couple of days ago I watched as our neighbor, a very small 3 year old girl came to our yard and let Bristol out of the gate, she wouldn't let the others come out just Bristol, I watched to see what would happen and he just came out and ran around her then set down by her and started licking, I did go out and try to explain to her that it was not a good thing to let other peoples dogs out and why, she looked at me quizzically and her response was that she liked Bristol, what can you do? Although potentially dangerous I felt confident that Bristol's reaction would be safe, which it was. We have been working Bristol in Schutzhund and he is doing well, has a good nose and very good prey drive which leads to a good protection dog but as evidenced by the story I just told you he has a good sense of situations. I'm hard on these dogs as I expect a lot and have been disappointed many times but as of yet Bristol has exceeded my expectations. Yes, I would recommend a Schlossfelson pup, matter of fact we are waiting for a breeding that I like and will be getting a female from Jan. Good Luck to you if you decide to get one of Jans pups, oh and I forgot to mention Jan is a GREAT person, very easy and nice to deal with. Good Luck! |

| Jan, Mark and I just wanted to let you know Arkos is doing great. I was surprised at how well he handled to 2 1/2 hour car ride. He slept pretty much the whole way. He adjusted very well to our home and has been quite a hand full. He loves to play and is constantly wanting to be snuggled. He wasn't to sure about the collar and leash last night but, has been walk wonderfully with it today. He's been a wonderful addition to our family. We'll keep you posted as he continues to grow. Sincerely, Stephanie |

| Dear Jan Just a quick note. The puppy is really a good pup. He never cries, he laid next to the bed in the motel and was happy. I left him to have breakfast and he slept the whole time. People have commented on how good he is, he has no fear of new people, he is very self confident. Our pom was not too happy but is getting over it. Now we have to master potty training. Diane Hi Jan, I am finally sending some photos of Lex. He is a great puppy. We start puppy class Wednesday. He is soooo good. That doesn't mean he doesn't tear things up but he understands so fast what not to do. He is starting to get some lighter hair on his back. He has an excellent temperment. We socialize him around other dogs and lots of children and adults. He weighed 22 lbs at 3 months. He is not afraid of anything, very confident. Diane Dear Jan Just an update on Lex. He has been in puppy training and basic training. Now he goes to advanced training. He is incredibly calm and gentle. He is so intelligent that people have commented to me about him and asked where I got him. His coloring is beautiful and he is going to be large. He weighs 60lbs and has a thick body. I will send a new picture soon. I cannot tell you what a wonderful experience this dog has been. Sincerely Diane Jan Lex weighs 65 lbs, he has gotten taller. He is in the advanced classes for training and is catching on very fast. I am told ALL the time how beautiful he is and how smart he is. My son and daughter-in-law want a dog like him. His temperment is unbelievable!!!!! Diane |

| Hey hon, how are you? The web site is nice. Good Job. I like it. I have included some pictures of Kodiak. Let me know what you think. I can't wait to visit next month and see you. I miss you. I was so sad to hear about Brassy. The memorial is very nice. Well, let me know what you think of the pictures hon.
Thanks

| Hi Jan,
I sent an email yesterday, but wasn't sure if you received it as it
added 'funky' when I sent it. Just to let you know we LOVE Dajia
(Braveheart)!! She bonded with me so strongly that my husband says he may have to get his own german shepard. I am thrilled that she troops after me.. she
never leaves my side. I went to Walmart to get her some more toys &
chew stuff last night, and Duane said she circled the house 3 times
looking for me.
Anyway, thanks so much for working on breeding such great quality
puppies!! We appreciate it!
Hi, Just thought I'd drop you a quick line w/some new pictures of Deja. She's 65 lbs now. She just completed agility training and she just loved it. She pulls hard trying to charge out and go up the ramps, and through the tires, and jump the fences etc... Her excitement is really evident. I plan on enrolling her in advanced agility in the spring. I couldn't believe how fast and graceful she is for her size. Duane is busy building most of her equipment so that I can practice at home with her. I'm running out of training to take her to. She is such a cool dog. We have spoiled her rotten, yet maintained discipline, so she's really a big sweetheart. She obeys all commands. Even the grandkids think it's neat to tell her to sit, or to stay. She can stay even when she has food on her nose. She doesn't budge until I give her her release command. We've only had one problem with her, and that is shoes. It's our own fault for leaving the closet doors open, but she loves to go into the bedroom and get a shoe to chew on. Never mind that she has every bone known to dog... she wants our shoes. At least when you tell her to 'drop' she drops it without a fight... it's just a matter of catching her. Anyway, she's a beautiful girl...we couldn't have asked for better. Kyle & Duane Hi, thought you might like to see a picture of Deja. She's in heat right now. Duane still isn't sure whether or not to have her bred. He's worried about selling the puppies. Anyway, for now, we're not going to spade her. I can't imagine not having her. I think she's maybe a little bit human. ha!! She hangs over the edge of the bathtub when I'm bathing and waits for me to splash her. And she LOVES to go out to the woods with Duane. I'm not sure which of us love her more... Enjoy the pic! Kyle & Duane |

| Jan, Just wanted to let you know, we made it home okay. Brie did great in the car, didn't have any problems. I just wanted to thank you, you can tell she has come from a great home. She has become a part of the family already. I brought her to work with me today, because I couldn't bear to leave her home alone. We have only had one accident so far, she always whines when she needs to go out and potty. Again, I just wanted to thank you, she is a true joy. Thanks Debbie |

| Hello Jan,
He is such a good little boy. He has gained almost 11/2 lbs. He sleeps in his crate without a murmer, goes to the door when he needs to go out, comes when he is called, and sits down too!!! He wakes me up when he needs to go out in the night. He is like a little person. Very attentive, and calm around people and acts as if he's been around for months. We are amazed. I wonder if his father or mother has that temperament? It so easy to spoil him with love, which we do.
His shots were given today. Of course he was the center of attention. Thank you so much for everything.
Regards, Avril Dear Jan, We could'nt resist the temptation of sending you some recent shots of Bronson & Brassy's boy Byron. He is a compact & muscular 40+ lbs of energy. He is most decidedly turning out very much like his dad as time goes on. regards , The Jays |

| Dear Jan and Butch,
I've been thinking about writing you for weeks now to let you know how thrilled I am with Bina(Beena). We've had her about a month now and it has been sweeter than pie. Bina is so beautiful and so open to new experience. You did such a great job with her. So many people comment on how calm and friendly she is. She also is really great with other dogs. We are in puppy school and of course she is the smartest. She has a favorite playmate, about her age, and Bina loves the free play after class.
Well, she is just a gem, what more can I say but thank you for all that you do. I will send pictures of Bina soon.
Gratefully,
Amy Dear Jan, Just want to let you know Bina(Brassy and Bronson) is doing really well. I would like to send you a picture soon, however, I need my husband's assistance and he is away right now. I don't need to tell you how absolutely gorgeous she is. People are always commenting on what a beauty. She's so smart, too. Oh my gosh! I am so happy with her. She's doing well in school. Hope things are well with you and yours. Sincerely, Amy |

| Hello Jan,
Maybe my email will go through if I use my Yahoo Account. I have sent you two emails before I recieved yours a few weeks ago.
Calah is doing great. We are going through schutzhund training with Tom Brenneman in Lawrence Kansas. She started when she was 9 weeks old and is doing excellent in her obedience, tracking and bite work. She is so big and smart and BEAUTIFUL! I love and enjoy her MUCH! She already barks at strange looking things in the yard with her hair on her back standing. She is silly. I think she is definately going to be the protection dog that I wanted.
I will send some pics later. I lost all of my pics when my computer contracted a virus. So, I have to scan more.
Talk to ya soon,
Judy
Hello Jan, I hope you can open this attachment. It is just a quick picture of Calah. I took it with my cell phone. I have ordered my digital camera and it is on its way. I took her to the vet the other day and she weighs 45lbs at little over 4.5 months old. She is such a smart dog. She amazes me at her alertness! She is very alert and fearless!! She also has a great tracking nose on her. We love her so very much!. I will send better pics after I get my new camera! ~Judy |

| Hi Jan,
Chesna is doing awesome. We did make one change. There was some confusion with her name and our other dog. So we have begun calling her Xina after here great grandmother. She is responding perfectly to that.
She had her first visit to our vet for her well check up and did fine. We are scheduling her to be spayed in the near future. Unfortunately, our vet is backed up for the next month or so. It will probably take place in May. She is going to start basic obedience school in a couple of weeks. That seems to be her only area that needs some improvement. Her listening ability has been on her schedule. We finally heard her bark yesterday. I was thinking she was not going to bark at anything, boy was I wrong. She has a very strong bark.
I do not think we could have asked for a better dog. She has fit into our family just perfect. Very playful and always ready to go.
We will keep you posted on any future developments as well as sending you pictures in the future.

| Hi Jan
Thank you so much. I LOVE Orange Girl.. What a
perfect choice! She is beyond perfect.. and as sweet
as can be!.. Incredibly well behaved. Last night was
a piece of cake!
There was some sever weather in Denver, so the plane
did not arrive in Seattle til past midnight. We
finally got Orange Girl (Delphi) home around 1:30am.
We have already done all introductions to the gang, in
a neutral area. My Lab thinks she finally has her
little pup! Even the cat is curious and has been
hanging around,.checking her out! My White GSD has
accepted her, however igoring her, as I expected.
This will take some time I know..
We'll be in touch! All the best
- Liz Hi Jan Hope you are well. I adopted "Orange girl" from your "D Litter" this past summer. Her name is now Delphi. She is a Sweetheart and is doing well. She is going to training and loves her older aunties and day-camp friends! I am now ready to get, a similar age "Plus/Minus a couple months", companion for her. Do you have any pups from previous litters which would be a good companion for "us and Delphi"? All the best PS, she has turned out to a stunningly beautiful pup! Everyone loves her! -Liz Hi Jan I meant to ask you. How much do Yago and Hesta weight approx? Curious how big Frisko might get? At vet's office, he weighed already 17 lbs yesterday. All is well. Delphi and Frisko adore each other!!! She is so smart she amazes me more and more every day. She is now picking up toys and brings to Frisko to play. She actually puts it in his mouth for a gentle tug of war! She is in heaven!.. so are we all :o) Thanks -Liz Hi Jan Frisko is doing great! What a happy playful.. yet 'assertive' little "broozer"... Boy he will get big! He is walking around acting like the "little man" of the house... surrounded with all these females. He is well over 25 lbs now. Delphi's coat is just amazing!! She gets more beautiful each day. I get comments all the time. '...she is the prettiest German Shepherd I has ever seen!'.. Everyone at Dog training school, Doggy-day camp, vet office, even stores, where I am allowed to bring her in.. they all are amazed about her Black and Red "CURLY" coat.. with the sweetest temperament to match! We are VERY HAPPY with our "babes".. Happy Holidays! -liz Hi Jan, It's been awhile. Just thought I'd drop off a couple picture of Delphi and Frisko. Frisko will be 2 yrs old next month. A young Man :o) but still a giant Teddy Bear and a comedian/goof-ball! Delphi still gorgeous, super alert and the Frisbee Queen! A few pictures of "our children" playing in the backyard. I've started taking them to our place in Idaho, 5 hr car ride! They do Great.. just hang out in the back of our 4-runner and sleep the entire way! When friends come by, some are nervous when they see we have "German Shepherds", but in 5 minutes once they interact with them, they can not believe how great they are. One friend had a bad experience many years ago with a GS, she said after an afternoon playing Frisbee with my dogs, she is over her GS fear. All the best. Thanks for breeding such superior dogs with great personalities! Liz ![]() |

| Dear Folks, This is just to let you know I got to my new home OK. Friday was very, very
scarey. That plane was noisy and smelly. Then when they took me off the plane this
woman pulled me out of the crate - kissed me and told me how gorgeous I was. I wasn't
sure about going with her and leaving ya'll behind but it is going to work out fine. Mom,
she isn't as smart as you are. I had an accident because she ignored me when I told her I had to go outside. So she just cleaned it up and promised to do better in the future.
There is an old grouch living here. But by this morning he was letting me check out
his chew toys and licking me. Yesteray we went down to the lake and played around
in the water. It's a good thing I am as brave as I am. So many new things to see and
do. Mom, I am going to be OK. My new mom thinks I am wonderful and so smart.
She says we are going to have a wonderful time together. We have to go to the Vet
today - and you know I am not going to be happy about that. I'll send ya'll a picture
next week. Be good to all of my siblings. Love & kisses,D'Arcy Hi Jan & Butch, This e-mail is long over due – and you can blame D’Arcy for the delay. If she is awake, she thinks we should be doing something together. You can see her intelligence in her curiosity and her problem solving abilities. Yesterday, she saw a crumpled brown paper bag (her first) on the floor, gave a big girl bark and then went over to investigate. She is so easy to work with – and seems to learn with out any real effort. Her toys are everywhere. I put them in a basket several times a day. I see her going thru her basket looking for the toy of the moment. She likes them to make noise – and knows exactly where to chew for maximum squeak. She has never met a stranger. Last Saturday we went to the lumber company – and away she goes to check out the building and the people. We have really done a lot of socializing and have met many kinds of animals as well as exploring numerous situations. I was stunned on Monday to see her go into a herding position around some sheep. Bart, my 11 year old GSD, is very good around D’Arcy. He only gets grumpy when she tries to take a toy out of his mouth. He even allows her to jump on him as he is retrieving his tennis ball. On Wednesday July 28th she had her second set of shots. My vet is crazy about her and how easy she is to handle. When she had her shot she really cried and asked to be picked up. I won’t be able to do that much longer. On the 28th she weighed 12.9 pounds. Butch, the problem I called about several weeks ago disappeared, before the For-Bid was delivered. D’Arcy is everything you promised and so much more! I feel as if you gave me a gift when you sent me D’Arcy. Thank you for this wonderful little girl. Sharon & D’Arcy Hi Jan - Right now let me express my feelings about plush coats. D'Arcy's coat is a pleasure to touch. She stays very clean. She can ran thru mud and sand - and once her coat is dry all of the dirt falls out.She sheds less than my short coated shepherd and as a consequence takes less time to groom. Needless to say I like this plush coat. Jan, you and Butch have been great - I'd be happy to tell anyone how careful you are in placement of puppies.Your support and help after the sale has been tremendous. By the way your assessment of D'Arcy's temperment was correct. She needs 1 - 11/2 hours a day of running and playing (not on leash). The week she was spayed and had to be kept quiet we were both unhappy. That week she chewed on anything she could get in her mouth. All of ya'll have a Wonderful New Year. With love, D'Arcy & Sharon ![]() |

| Hope all is well with you. I took Mojo to the vet today for his immunization and check up. He is doing great. His weight is now 31 lb. and the vet was very happy with him. She used to care for the GSD’s of a police force and is very familiar with the breed. She said that Mojo is one of the nicest specimens of a GSD that she has seen in quiet some time. The little guy is getting along with our female much better, or is it the other way around? They are both a joy to us and we are grateful to have such a fine addition to our family. We will stay in touch. Sincerely |

| Hi Jan,
Well, we got Bondi home just fine on Saturday. He was pretty restless in the truck. Cried for a little while and then fought sleep for fear of missing something most the of the way. He's definitely keeping us busy but is a whole lot of fun. His intelligence is very apparent. He's already learning his name, understanding the word "No," which he hears quite often and is picking up on housetraining incredibly quickly. He and our cat, Harley, are adjusting to each other. Some of their encounters are pretty comical.
Anyway, just wanted to give you a little update.
Thanks,
-Tim Bondi is doing great. He's finishing up puppy preschool and is on the list for basic obedience training. He's pretty much house trained at this point. In addition to puppy preschool once a week, he is meeting new friends at doggy daycare twice a week and makes frequent trips to the area dog parks. We are constantly amazed at his intellegence. He knows sit and down and Melanie taught him to shake in just a few minutes. We starting to work on fetch, but he still gets distracted fairly quickly. He knows his yard and does a great job of staying in it ... most of the time, there is a neighbor across the street who he has adopted as his buddy. Hope all is well with you, your husband and the dogs and cats. Melanie and Tim Bondi is cramming for his basic obedience class graduation tomorrow evening. He's been working hard on heeling, sit-stay, down-stay and recall. He's also developing quite a repetoire of tricks including playing dead, rolling over and giving high-fives. He's really enjoying the mountains of Colorado and loves playing in the snow. I've attached a couple pictures from a recent snowshoeing tirp. He's still making lots of friends at doggy daycare twice a week. He puts a big smile on our faces everyday. Hope all is well with you. Melanie and Tim |

| Solo (blue boy's new name) is doing great - he seems to be enjoying his
new surroundings! Well, except for his dismay when we went off to bed. :)
--
Kevin Hi Jan! Just an update on Solo - he's been WONDERFUL. He's been great, though - loves riding in my car, loves our cats (although the cats are somewhat ambivalent about him so far...), and loves playing on our land. My friends who have dogs are all jealous at how easily he seems to learn commands. :) It looks like he'll be a big dog, too. My biggest and most pleasant surprise has been how easily he deals with new situations - he LOVES meeting new people and new dogs. Kevin |

Hi Jan,
Just wanted to let you know how wonderful Frisca is…..she has captured our hearts. This little girl has NEVER had a BM in the house, always paws the patio door to go out. We are still working with her on the other, she lets us know most of the time, sometimes forgets (just like a pup).
The first time we took her to the vet, we didn’t get to see our regular vet. She saw Frisca last Monday and she said she sees lots of dogs, but this is one of the best!!!
She is SO friendly, one of our neighbors has brought his dog over a couple of times and she loves the dog…a teeny Schnauzer…..she gets the best of him of course!
She wants to love everyone who comes in the house, her tail goes so fast and she gets so excited. We have taken her to PetsMart a couple of times now and she always gets lots of attention….she knows no fear of anyone.
We start Puppy Kindergarten tomorrow….she doesn’t go to the first class.
We are sending you a couple of pictures….will be sent in two separate e-mails. You can see where one of her favorite places to sleep is in “Dad’s” shoes. The other pic we think she’s giving the koi in our pond heart attacks…she has not ventured into the pond yet, only her front paws….
Your newest litter is so cute!
Thanks for such a wonderful puppy!
Rich and Pat Hi Jan Just wanted to send you a couple of Frisca's 4 month pics. She is doing so very well. She weighs a little over 38 lbs and the vet seems to think she may top 75 lbs. Her coat is very long and getting so shiney. She is the friendliest little pup! She loves to lay on her back and have her belly rubbed!!!! She is just finishing Puppy Kindergarten and is going to start Intermediate....she does very well. She loves our ponds and wades up to her neck now....knows no fear. Some man called me from Vermont quite a long time ago and asked about your pups, and I told him he could not do better than purchasing a pup from you, hopefully he did. I am sending the pics in two files. I am sending one of her in the bathroom because it shows her beautiful red color the best. We could NOT be more pleased with her and love her to death! Best of luck with your upcoming litter! Thanks again, Rich and Pat Hi Jan, Frisca was at the vet yesterday to be spayed. She weighs 60 lbs now. She is so friendly, all the techs at the vet’s office remarked how cute she is, some even came in the exam room to tell us. There is not a person she meets that she doesn’t want to love her. She finished her Intermediate dog training at PetsMart…..everyone in the class said she was the smartest, made us proud! She’s now in Advanced. We are thinking of investigating into her becoming a therapy dog, they say she certainly has the personality for it, although a bit too young now. We had her hips and elbows x-rayed yesterday and are sending them into OFA. She is so very red/mahogany, unfortunately the attached pics don’t really show her true color, and her coat is very long and soft. She is the BEST dog we’ve ever had and thanks so much for her!!!!! Rich and Pat ![]() |

| Hi Jan,
Well we have had him a week and he is doing wonderful! He has to be the best
dog I ever owned. He is the sweetest most calmest dog out in public. We took
him to petsmart this week and EVERYBODY raved about how well behaved(didn't
bark at one dog and when we stopped walking he sat at my side and waited til
we started up again) and how beautiful he is. He walks on a lead like he
has been walking on one all his life. He loves car rides and just sits like
a big boy and enjoys the ride. I don't think one person has not made a
comment about the size of his paws..lol even the vet commented how big they
were and said he's gonna be a big boy. I have NEVER had a pet who wasn't
nervous going to the vet. He walked in there like he owned the place and
just flopped on the floor by my feet. He's doing great on his potty
training. We put a baby gate up on our bedroom door at night and just leave
his crate open giving him the option to lay in there(which he does do(when
he hops off from snuggling in our bed ;o)) and he holds it til 5:30 when he
gives me my wake up call for outside and breakfast. Not sure what he weighed
when he left but he kept sliding off the vet scale because he was unsteady
but the vet weighed him at aproxiamtly 36 lbs. once again..I'm so glad we
found each other. i look at him all the time and say to myself "i just love
him so much..he's the best!"
I'm sure I am missing some stuff but i'll stop here for now.
Take Care
Michelle I just wanted to give you an update on Diablo(aka Clyde.not the most graceful yet). He is doing great! We can now make an appt for him to get neutered so that will be happening pretty soon here. He is getting to be quite a big boy he still gets that comment everyone we go. I still love him as much as i did when we first brought him home. I will send some pictures as soon as we get a new camera (my twins broke ours). I found a good trainer that will be coming to my home to help assist me in training him. He is so smart too, the little brat knows how to lock our sliding glass door and he locked me out of the house one day(cuz i wouldn't let him out to see the neighbor dog at the fence)..lol I had to climb the fence and come in the front door. Not only is he my pet, but he is my best friend, he knows me so well and we are bonded together completely for life. He is so freindly to everyone, But he is rather protective of his girls. If we are out and the twins stray further ahead than him and I, he doesn't care about not suppose to be pulling on the lead..he pulls hard til he is up with his twins. Well looks like Diablo is going to play an important role in the service dog community. I did some research and Nebraska laws do not include any "mental impairments"(such as epilepsy, autisim, traumatic brain disorder, mental illness, alzheimer's) as they do in the ADA. So Diablo and I have set out to change it and the ball is rolling. My letter is being sent from a senator's office to the elections Director as we speak. So at least a first step is being made. Diablo will be right by my side in this adventure and he needs to be a good citizen representive for the animal community.(if it requires our presence) So our goal is to get him the CGC. He just might end up being a famous dog that changed Nebraska laws =o). I love all the cute dog and cat emails you are sending..keep them coming! =o) take care Michelle Hi Jan, Just thought i would give you a quick update. Diablo has started his training. He is doing a great job and catches on to things sooo quick! The trainer was impressed. He was on a break while i was talking to her and laying in the front yard. She looked at him and said " he looks so noble laying there". He does so well with sitting that we have upgraded it..to sitting "pretty" and he's almost got that down as well. He loves to train, he knows when i grab the leash its training time and he gets rather excited and pumped to get started. He is an awesome boy and i am soooo proud of him!!! I just can't thank you enough for him! Michelle and Diablo Hi Jan, I finally got a new digital camera, so i thought i would send a couple pictures of Diablo. The pictures make him appear lighter i think(haven't got use to messing with the settings). One ear has comepletely straightened out..the other ear is just about there but still flops on occasion. My trainer said give it another month and it should be completely up. I started watching my new newphew and Diablo is so worried everytime he cries. He is also becoming very protective of the twins. Aint noone gonna come near the fence while they are outside unless we let them in. =o) he is such a great family dog. My ENTIRE family loves him. Even my grandmother who is 85 year old who isn't the most fond of dogs said "i could grow to like this dog". That is a first.=o) He has got the best temperment for a family..he loves to play outside and is learning how to play hide and seek. I give the command to "seek" and he finds whoever is hiding. He is just a smart dog in my book. My exhusband saw him for the first time this week. I think i noticed a bit of fear in his eyes. hehe Diablo "looks" like a killer..but those who know him know he's the most lovable, biggest baby, lap dog around. (he thinks he belongs on mine and my husband's lap whenever we sit down)and He's a snuggler too. We trained him that night night time he sleeps in our room. He refuses to go to bed until both me and my hubby are both in there. and thats where he stays all night until he wakes us up in the morning with a pawing and kisses.(what a wonderful way to wake up). I can't wait til he's full grown. He's my big beautiful baby boy and I am anxious to see what he looks like as an adult. To me he seems to have really long legs and a very long tail..I think he is going to be on the larger size. I'll send more pictures as i get use to our camera. I'll try to get some cute action shots of him. Take care Michelle and Diablo |

| Jan, Just wanted to report in on "Harley" Vom SchlossFelsen. He is doing well and eating like our two year old colt. My wife(previously not a gsd lover) is crazy about him. He and Abbie, our two year old lab , are having fun and keeping each other company. Just ordered some nuvet tabs. Thanks for your good work. John Jan, thanks for your suggestions - we are giving him the knox gelatin and have seen some improvement - his ears are going to be just fine. If ever you need a testimonial on Bronson and Montana's kids - I will be happy to give it. Our Harley has the best disposition of any gsd I have ever been around. Congratulations on your new litter, I am anxious to see the photos. As soon as Harley's ears are photogenic, I'll send ya one. John |

| Cisco arrived and is doing wonderful. He is going to
be the perfect companion and I am very happy that I
chose him. He cuddled on the drive back home and did
very good on the drive. He really likes Daisy, but
she is not too sure about him. She is a little
scared, which is unusual for her. Hopefully this won't
last too long. He follows me quite a lot and has been
giving me lots of kisses. Both of which are fine with
me as Dakota used to do this also when he was still
alive. I can't believe how calm he is. He has been
sleeping quite a bit which is a nice change since
Daisy would run for 8 hours without sleeping when she
was a puppy. He is laying by my feet as I am typing
this, so I think that he feels pretty content right
now. It is so good to have him here. I will send you
photos in a few days.
Thanks so much!
Tressa I took Cisco into the vet on Friday the 13th for his last set of shots. He weighed in at a whopping 33 1/2 lbs. He is such a wonderful puppy with an outstanding temperment. He could not be more perfect as a companion. My vet asked me if he was driving me crazy by chewing on everything. I told him that I have not had that issue at all. But then again, I do keep a very close eye on him still. It is funny how his ears are up one day, down the next, then the left one is up and the right one down and then it changes again. He loves his toys, food and Daisy. At 10 weeks, he was sitting and laying down on comand. At 13 weeks he learned how to shake. I am amazed at how smart he is for such a young puppy. Almost too smart. I allow Daisy up on the furniture because she is small and Cisco knows that he is not allowed on the furniture, but he will jump on the couch when he thinks that I am not looking. As soon as I tell him "off", he jumps right down. He just likes to test me to see if I will give in or not. He wakes me up at 4:00 every morning like an alarm clock. He has done very well with learning to "potty" outside. I have only had 6 or 7 accidents. I was taking to one of my clients and she asked me where I got Cisco from. When I told her from Melebeta, NE, she had mentioned that she had heard wonderful things about your dogs. She also has a German Shepherd that she purchased from a breeder in her 70's from somewhere down South. I did purchase the NuVet Plus tabs and the dogs love them. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to bring Cisco to my home. I just may get another one this fall. Tressa Hi Jan, Cisco is doing wonderful! I had a dog trainer come to the house last night to help me out with some walking issues and to help get get him to stop jumping on the couch and biting on Daisy's tail. She also had some advice for keeping the dogs away from the door when I open it. This is more for my little Papillon-she is a little stubborn. She usually works with people that have had no training before and was very surprised at how how well I have done with him so far. I told her that I have had training before and that my dogs eventually learn their commands by using hand signals only. She was impressed that he learned to sit and lay down by 9 1/2 weeks and was shaking a few days later. I also mentioned that he scratches at the door when he needs to go out and that I will teach him to bark when he needs out when he is a little older. She kept telling me what a beautiful puppy he is, how smart he is and what a good disposition he has. I still try to pick him up and put him on my lap, but this is very difficult as he is about 40 lbs now. I also gently tug on his tail (preparation for children), play with his feet, put my hands in his mouth, take his food away for a couple of seconds and give back, and pet him while he is eating. He is perfecly fine with all of this and just loves the attention. She stated that German Shepherds are one of her favorite dogs and that they just "get it" when it comes to training. I don't think that I will need to worry about if he will be protective or not. When I take him out to PetSmart or for a walk, he is everyone's friend. But when the dog trainer came over, he barked and barked at her. I was very surprised out how protective he is at just 4 months. I have not done any work with him and will wait until he is a year old before I work with him on the "bad guy" training. He only barks at the cat when he is trying to get him to play and occassionally at Daisy. I just could not believe that he was barking at her the way he was and with such depth and presence. When I was taking to the trainer, Cisco was laying right by my feet watching her the whole time. He is very bonded with me and the trainer agreed. He is a momma's boy. I will send more pictures once he changes a little more. Both ears have been up consistantly for about two weeks now. This makes me so happy. take care, Tressa |

| Hello Jan! Just wanted to send you an update on our little Asha (green girl). She is HUGE and still growing. She has successfully learned how to sit, stay, down, shake, and she rings a bell by the door when she needs to go outside! She also has a basket of about 10 toys that she loves to get into. We are teaching how to put away her toys on command. She is doing well!!!!! We really love her and she fits right in to our family. My yorkie (Tucker) loves her and they play together everyday. Asha is good at the command "leave it" if we want her to leave Tucker alone. She is very smart! She is about to finish all of her immunizations! yea!! I have attached some pictures for you. She looks silly because her ears are just starting to perk up!! :) Emily |

| Hi Jan, Hazel (zel) and Jonas are doing great. Zel's ears are almost up
Jonas are the same I ordered nuvet plus is there anything else I should give them?
Jonas is way to big to play with Zel he drags her around like a wet rag. But they do fence play.
Thanks so much for these gorgeous pups...Great news they both now have perfect bites.

| Jan, Thanks for all the positive feedback. Quick question....How big are her parents? Her paws are enormous...I know you mentioned they had tree trunks for legs but I couldn't remember their weight. How big do you think she'll get based upon your experience?
We went to our vet today and had our next series of shots, and a fecal test...She's already 17.6 lbs. All was of course fine. We have our next one in three weeks.
Sue ;) BTW, Heidi (Gabi) is doing wonderful. She's definetely a gabby girl and talks all the time. Oh and my goodness and if we have to run an errand and we're gone for just a little bit..oh my she just carries on and on. Quite the talker and such a sweetie! Thanks again..Oh and almost forgot to send that paper out..Mailing it out today! Sue ;) |

Hemi, now called Heidi, is doing wonderful. We love her so much. She follows us around wherever we go. She immediately took to the leash and hardly pulls when I take her for walks. She gets along well with our other dogs and my cat. We have been working on fetching and she has been catching on fast. She lays at my feet, when I'm on the computer and wont let me out of her sight. When we first brought her home, I took her to the vet to get her shots. Our vet couldn't stop commenting on how gorgeous she was. Everyone who come to visit our place remarks on how beautiful and sweet she is. We love her so much and are so glad that we have added her to our family of pets.

| Hi Jan
Just wanted to let you know that Nero ( Essie boy) is doing fabulous! He already is housebrokern ( he raps his foot on the glass slider to be let out) and is adjusting with the other dogs.
We took him to Petsmart and had a crowd. It took us forever to even get in! Everyone kept coming up and loving him. He even went over to the doggie bed section and took a nap..lol
But he will be a handful :) he is very verbal and we are working on the No biting. We watch him like a hawk, but last night we thought he was going to his water bowl and instead dragged the carpet that we have in front of the door across the floor. It was so funny ( But of course we didnt tell him that)
The vet gave him a clean bill of health and said that he looks like he will be as big as dad. I guess we will wait and see. I have been putting him on his back and showing him I am boss. Then I ask for a kiss and let him play again. Or sometimes he just lies there and asks for a belly scratch :)
I am used to training little toy dogs and any thoughts would be appreciated. WE LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!
Melissa Hi Jan, Have a happy Thanksgiving! Harley is doing wonderful. Such a georgous happy boy. I so wish we could get his dad, I see he is for sale. Love your website we look at it so much. Everytime I see the picture of (Essie so tired) It is like looking at Harley! He is sooooo spoiled. Every time my husband gets out of bed, he jumps in a lies down with his head on his pillow like a person :) I am so fortunate to have come across your website. I have a friend who is interested in a solid Black GSD, do you know of anyone you can recommend? I know you do not breed them. We are looking to get a bigger house with more land, I have a feeling we will be contacting you again for another addition. -- Regards, Melissa Hi Jan I wanted to send you a picture of how beautiful Harley is. I am so greatful every day that I came across your site (and by accident too! He adds so much to my life. He Is my first Shepherd and I will never be without one. I have not come accross another breeder that I would go to after having Harley for the past 3 years. He is such a loving dog. I will send you some more pictures. Take care Melissa ![]() |

| Hi Jan! What an adorable puppy! Everything went just fine. He was tired and slept all the way home and is now scoping out the house. Alaska Airlines was great in letting me know how and where to retrieve our new puppy. Thank you for everything! We love him!
Shannon and Harold
Fabulously!!! He's been for his vet check up and scored a clean bill of health. He's incredibly smart and quickly learned many of the rules of the house. He's a riot and keeps us laughing all day long. We couldn't be happier with him. His right ear is starting to stand erect. What age should we expect them both to be fully erect? Thanks for everything, Shannon and Harold |

| Hi Jan,
Joy is doing great! We went on vacation and took them to the beach. They both loved it! We took Joy for her shots yesterday she weighed 18 pounds. I'm sending you some pictures at of Joy and Toby at the beach.
I am absolutely thrilled with Joy, true to her name she is a joy. She is always happy and that little tail is always wagging! :)
Thansk for the Joy,

| Hi Jan, read through most of the materials, very helpful, thanks. Pup adapted very nicely, Demetri and I put all the blankets on the floor in the living room, König was in his crate (next to me) that he had arrived in, of course with a blanket. He woke up in the middle of the night and whimpered a bit. I let him out and he cuddled by us. A little later he sat up and looked toward the foyer and the front door and started to bark. I thought that was pretty good. I told him good boy, comforted him and said it is O'K and he laid back down. Throughout the night I kept checking and at one point he and Melrose were cuddled together at my feet.
He had a ball when he came home from the airport, he checked out all the new animals. He loved the yard. He kept following Demetri everywhere. I was glad to have read about over exercise and strain on the skeletal makeup. Being a teacher, and I like hi-liting, I hi-lited every thing of importance in most of the articles so Tony could quickly read through them. Tony and Demetri stayed home with him today. Those hand-outs were very helpful to understanding little König. Tony and the boys, Demetri, Melrose and König, are picking me up from school today.......Have a nice week-end Angela Jan, sorry you did not get this, I sent it on Friday, I made a mistake with the address. Little boy is doing fine, we have been with the same sleeping arrangements, except, Tony is on the couch and Malena is on the Love seat......It is fun. He still likes his cave. I have a larger, larger metal crate that is open..he goes in takes his toys, but prefers his cave to sleep in....Mom wants to change his name to Wolf, since he looks like one. She said his paper name, should be so prestigious and it is. Than he has another name...We are working on that...We have been taking him out a lot. We took him to a working farm, within a park, with exhibits, people, children and other animals...nice because it was not too over whelming. Someone else asked me where we got him and wanted your site...He is a sweet handsome He jumps and hops a lot. He is so bold and smart. Today was his first day home with out me. I drove home at lunch time, let him out to pee, and put him back. He was doing fine!!!!! He loves all the socialization with the cats and Melrose....he tries to play....you should see him and his finesse.....have a good one Angela Wolfie is a character…sooo handsome, sooo smart, doesn’t always listen, he does think he is big and bad..tough I should say..already a wonderful watch dog, he loves to hear himself bark…..he does different tones. He is a natural….I’ll right more later. You would be so proud of your boy…..he is such a swimmer too, he loves the lake, he is like a child…..have a good weekend, Angela |

| Jan,
Just wanted to say Thank you for sending us the
sweetest little angel. Logan is just a little lover,
and a cry baby. He hates to be away from anyone. But
what a beautiful little man he is. I couldn't wait to
get back from the cruise to see him. Even tho we had a
great time.
If you would like to, we will send pictures of him
from time to time to show his progress!! He already
likes to sit on the raft with us in the pool!!
Levi is a beautiful pup too--saw him on the
website-would love to talk my husband into getting
him-but that would take alot. I will give my
girlfriend your web site and tell her to look you up
as she is a german shepard lover also.
Thanks again for all your help in getting him here
too. I know it was a little hectic with me going out
of town. Hope my son was easy to work with.
Again, thanks for all your hard work!!
Cheri
Jan, Logan weighed in at 19.9 lbs at the vet yesterday. They thought he was a very handsome little man, and he nearly slept through the whole exam!! He and Kody are becoming good buds. They really romp together, and Logan keeps him on his toes. He enjoys the air conditioning, as it has been in the upper 90,s here all week. We are going down to the lake this weekend, so will see how he does in the lake. Will do my best to help Levi get a good home. I know Logan is going to be a great dog!! My husband is not convinced we need 3 big dogs--but you never know!!! Logan sends his mamma a big hug too!!! Cheri This was really cute!!! Thanks!! Logan weighed in at 80.6 lbs today at the vets office. He is getting big and awfully cute. He has a terrific personality. Everyone just loves him and Kody. Logan is a big cuddle bug. He would sit in your lap all day and be loved on if he could. Thanks for a great puppy!!! ![]() |

Hi Jan-
I'm so very sorry it has taken me this long to give you an update on Doc - as
you can imagine, we have been very BUSY. He's asleep right now, so I might
have to make this short - it's almost time to wake up! There are absolutely
no problems with him so far - he's very happy and healthy (stools are fine and
no stomach problems). He did good on the ride home - he cried for about 15
minutes, then slept the rest of the way. He's only had one accident in the
house, and I blame myself for not being there to supervise. His main goal
right now is to catch our oldest cat - he has already run her up the tree a
couple of times. I'm not sure what he thinks he'll do with her if he ever
does catch her, but we'll see. He has (what he thinks) is a very mean bark
which was just discovered yesterday. It's amazing how fast he has bonded with
us. He's so very intelligent and loving and so special to us, I can't thank
you enough. The long wait was worth it. I almost forgot to mention that
yesterday he decided to hump my foot. That was pretty comical- I hope that's
an early indication that he's going to be that stud dog we want! Ha. I'll
think of more later - better go for now. Again - thank you so much for all
the work and time you put into these litters - it definitely pays off for the
new owners and for the pups.
Claudia and Rex
Hi Jan- Here's the latest update on Doc: he continues to amaze us with his incredible intelligence, and he is absolutely fearless. I remembered the story you told us about when there was some kind of change that you made in the kennel and he was the one who noticed it. He does that all the time - if he sees something in an area that wasn't there before - he barks at it and really carries on. He's so very loving and has completely accepted us as his 'people', and knows his name. It has been so hot here that I put a couple of inches of water in a baby pool and he loves to get in and act like he's digging in the water. I'll be very happy when he starts sleeping through the night - I know that will come eventually. Again - I can't tell you how much he means to us. Hope everything is going well with you guys. Claudia Hi Jan- wanted to let you know that I'm sending you a few pictures of Doc - sorry, but they're not very recent because we aren't very good about getting film developed right away, but I think they're cute. We went to the vet yesterday for the last set of shots - he has gained 16 pounds in the last 4 weeks, and the vet says he's going to be HUGE. His ears are doing the flop/stand-up kind of thing - very funny. We started puppy kindergarten - that's a blast. Doc wasn't sure what to think at first - I think he was pretty overwhelmed by all the other puppies, but he made a couple of friends already and I think he'll graduate at the top of the class. He's a wonderful puppy and I know he's going to grow up to be an awesome dog. Claudia Hi Jan- just wanted to touch base and let you know that Doc is doing great. It's hard to believe he's only 4 months old when you look at him, cause he looks like a little adult. I know I said this before, but he's so gorgeous and I can see both Arina and Yago when I look at him. Poor little guy has sore gums right now - we're starting to lose the puppy teeth. Chew, chew, chew......................! The teacher at puppy kindergarten says that in all the years she's been working with dogs she has never come across a German Shepherd like him when it comes to his disposition and extreme friendliness with people. He still chases the cats - I think it's just his drive to chase. I was hoping they could all be friends, but I don't think it will ever happen. Besides puppy class, we take him on walks and mild hikes. He LOVES to go in the car - even if it's to the Vet - if he had his way, we would be going somewhere all the time. I'll be getting some new pictures developed at any time now and I will send you a few. I hope you and your new litters are doing well, and thanks for the advice about the training. Claudia Doc is wonderful - Jan you can be very proud of your breeding program. He's starting to look very much like Yago and I never knew a dog could be so intelligent. He's everything we ever hoped for, and more. Claudia Hi Jan- I hope all is going well for you. Just a quick 'Doc' update. Next week, as you know, he'll be 7 months old, and he now weighs 85 pounds. There is no fat, he's not having any growing pains, he's just BIG. I'm in the process of gradually switching him to adult food, which I probably should have done before now. Do you know if any other Arina/Yago pups are this huge? I can't believe it, and our vet can't either. He looks like a full-grown male. Please don't think I'm complaining - he's absolutely gorgeous! Just wondered if any of the other pups are this big already! Thanks, Claudia Hi Jan- I just wanted to take a minute to wish you and your family a great holiday season, and to thank you again for our 'Doc'. Sometimes we just sit and look at him because we can't believe how incredible and beautiful he is. We've been around german shepherds for many, many years and none have ever compared to him. We should have some new pictures soon. Hopefully all will work out well with his hips and elbows so we can breed him and pass on his awesome qualities. He is truly what the breed should be, and we are truly blessed to have him. Thanks again, Claudia and Rex Hi Jan- Tomorrow is Doc’s 3rd birthday (hard to believe) and I couldn’t let it go by without acknowledging you as his incredible breeder and first human ‘mama’. I really hope you can see him someday, and see what kind of dog he turned out to be. He has been, and continues to be the light of our lives. He continues to do very well toward his Protection certificate, but is has not phased his love of people at all. All dog owners should be as lucky as we are to have found such a caring and committed breeder as yourself. Thanks again! Claudia, Rex and Doc ![]() |

| Here is Libnah helping me recover from surgey. She is so sweet and also a
playful handful. She has settled into our home wonderfully and this morning
was the funniest thing I have ever seen. She got a hold of the dried up
piece of vine on the end of a 5 lb watermelon and was dragging it across the
kitchen floor. It was hilarious!! She loves her toys and all of our shoes
too!! She is eating great and doing very well with her potty trainig. We are
so blessed to have her.
Susan Hello again, Here is our wonderful dog sitting on the back steps and sleeping in her favorite place, the couch! She is so attached to me already and sleeps on the couch with me every night as I have to sleep on the recliner part of the sectional since my surgery. She whines to wake me up every time she has to go potty and was even sleeping in our bedroom when I was taking a bath and came to the bathroom door to let me know she had to go out. She even pushes open the bathroom door to come in to sit with me when I take a bath. The neighbors across the road had fireworks going for almost 2 hours and even did a huge grand finale (they must spend thousands of dollars as they have good ones) and she just sat on the deck with us and never even paid much attention to all the noise. Guess she won't have any problem with gunshots in Schutzhund training and trials. She walks all over with me on the farm and down the road and we even went and saw the goats across the road and she wasn't afraid of them either. The big lawnmower wasn't scary to her either. I can't even explain how much I love her and how perfect she is and it's just like she has always been here. The only thing she doesn't like is if I have to put her in her crate for a little bit or on the porch (she is learning the doggie door quick too) as she hates to be away from us. We had a friend stop by today and she went right up to her so I don't think socialization will be a problem either. We are going fishing in the morning so we will see how she likes that and if she wants to swim. I of course, will have my camera with me hehe! We now have the dog I have always dreamed of, and she loves my husband too. She knows he is the guy to play with as she flys by him running out of the room and then back to him. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen. She also loves all of her toys and has them all over the house. Jan, I can't thank you enough for the wonderful breeding program you have. You took the time to let us know what the match would be for the kind of pup we wanted and "Libnah" (yellow girl) was it! I look forward to sharing her "growing up pictures" and her tracking and Schutzhund training with you, and would recommend anyone who wants a GSD to go to your kennel. You do an awesome job with the dogs and God Bless You. Susan & Lloyd She is just getting smarter and more beautiful evey day. She has learned so fast and even though she has boundless energy she enjoys all the time we spend in the yard and in the barn as well as laying in front of any AC vent iun the house when it is so hot out here lately. She now weighs 20lbs and no finiky eater here!! Loves her science diet (and a little people food too!)Also can see her walking with Dad as he finishes the Cupola on the barn!! Hi Jan, Here are some pictures of Libnah I took out in the yard last night after she got done dragging a brick around the yard. She has more fun with large stones and bricks as she turns them over and over with both paws and almost picks them up like a raccoon. It is hilarious. Last week while we were on vacation we were sitting on the deck and a storm was coming and Libnah was laying by my feet. It started thundering and every time it would thunder she would run out into the yard barking trying to chase off the thunder. Lloyd and I were laughing so hard we about fell out of our chairs!!. She is such a clown and we just love her. She can almost catch the rabbits she keeps flushing out of the pasture and she is so good around the horses now. July 1st we have had her a year and she is such a joy our life. She misses Molly (our 14 1/2 yr old Golden we had to put down a couple of weeks ago) but she likes being the only child! I will still say she is the best and smartest GSD I have ever had and she does so well in any training we do with her and she LOVES people. Hope you don't get too busy as I see you have lots of litters coming. Take care, Susan |

Hi Jan…
We received the AKC paper on Lena on Saturday, the 6th.
GerryLee is a joy!! She is so smart. I take her to Springfield NE every Sunday to visit with the German Shepherd group. They work obedience and schutzhund. Of course GerryLee is too young for schutzhund but is learning obedience. The group is really impressed with her. One of the guys asked me to bring her pedigree as he is interested in getting a good male to breed with his female. I take her to Petco every weekend and she sure enjoys all the attention. She is so good with people, kids and dogs. We went to the vet again yesterday and she is doing really well. She is up to 29.5 pounds. I've attached a couple pictures….it's hard to get good ones as she gets real excited when I get the camera out. We really love her. Thank you so much for such a beautiful puppy. Mary and Shel

Jan, Just wanted to let you know that Oskar is doing well. We are very happy with him, he is so sweet and so loving he is also already starting to become protective of us. We couldn't ask for a better boy than Oskar. He is growing with every day and those huge paws seem to be getting bigger by the minute! He is such fun for Jason and I. My three boys love him, especially my four year old. My four year old (Connor) is home with Oskar and I all day and has become best friends with Oskar. We go on walks together and as soon as Conner gets to far behind, or to far ahead, Oskar will slow down, or speed up, so he can be right by his side. It's the sweetest thing I've ever seen. He is truly one of the smartest dogs ever. From the first day we brought him home he amazed me because he had no problem letting us know when he needed to go potty and after a month only about 3 potty accidents in the house. I would say he is now potty trained. We started working with!
him on sit, stay, down and come... all of which he picked up on immediatly. Well, we just wanted you to know how he was doing and how happy we are about having him. We couldn't imagine our life without him, he is now our fourth little boy. Thank You for everything and most of all for breeding such great German Shepherds! We will send some pictures soon, so you can see how handsome he is turning out to be. Thanks again, Angie & Jason
